For those of you don't know, the AFA is a group of selfish bullshit spewing dumbasses who work in the "best interest" of American "families" (read: Evangelical Christians). Their purpose could be summed up in two words: being hypocritical. However, I will attempt to describe how much bullshit they like to smear in our faces.
It isn't a difficult thing to get yourself on the AFA's shitlist (and boy, is it a big one!). Just do any of the following:
Of course, they make no mention on their General Information page as to why they will bash other religions and homosexuals until the cows come home, but the second something derogatory is said or done to a Christian, they are all over you about First Amendment rights and equality. All while lobbying to get rid of free expression in the entertainment industry (not that I enjoy that stuff, but they have the right [in some ways. Corporations can be different.]). I may be wrong, but didn't the Bible teach people to love thy neighbour and to be accepting of the fact that not everyone enjoys the same stuff (TV shows, games, music, whatever) and lifestyle that you do? Apparently, the AFA doesn't think so. And that doesn't even count some of the other bullshit. What the hell does "pro-family" mean anyway?
I wouldn't have such a problem if they just kept their mouth shut after they tell people how "bad" this stuff is, but the second they start lobbying to have it taken off of the market, that's crossing the line (though society would be better off without some of the "music" mentioned here.)
I'm not even going to attempt to explain some of the other hypocrisy going on with those assholes. Stop by their site for a visit and see for yourself. And don't forget to drop Mr Wildmon or someone else a line. (Note: I tried sending them a message the other day and it didn't work. I'm not going to try again. Maybe they were getting tired of all the logic filling up their inbox).
